The AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA) is one of the most popular national-level MBA entrance exams in India. More than 200 MBA colleges, including Welingkar Mumbai, JIMS Rohini (Delhi), NDIM New Delhi, and Jaipuria Noida, offer MBA admission based on the ATMA exam score. ATMA is a credible, comprehensive, and single-window test for admissions to post-graduate management programmes like MBA, PGDM, MCA, MMS, and other management post-graduate courses. It is an online, objective-type, nationally accepted entrance test. This test is recognized by AICTE and the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, and is conducted across all the states in India.

What exactly is the ATMA Exam?

2022 exam for the February session will be conducted on February 9th, 2022, and the results will be announced on February 13. Based on the score, candidates were called to appear for the further admission process of the participating institutes.

The ATMA 2022 admit card was made available on February 5th, 2022. 2022 exam pattern is comprised of six sections. Questions in the test were asked about analytical reasoning, quantitative skills, and verbal skills.

What exactly is the ATMA Exam?

ATMA or AIMS Test for Management Admissions is a national-level exam conducted for admission to MBA, PGDM, MCA, and PGDBA courses. The exam is conducted four to five times a year. ATMA Eligibility Requirements

  • Candidates applying for the ATMA 2022 exam
  • should be citizens of India.
  • Any graduate candidate can apply for the exam. 
  • Candidates who are in their final year of graduation can apply provisionally.
  • The minimum qualifying mark for graduation is 50%.
  • There is no age limit.

ATMA exam day guidelines

Candidates appearing for the ATMA exam must familiarize themselves with the exam day guidelines to avoid any sort of difficulty on the day of the exam. The ATMA

  • The exam is generally held from 2 pm to 5 pm. The candidates need to reach the exam venue by 1 pm to complete identification and other processes.
  • The candidates need to carry a printout of the ATMA admit card and a photo ID proof (original and photocopy).
  • Candidates not carrying the admit card are not allowed to appear in the exam.
  • No stationaries like pens, pencils, erasers, pencil boxes, etc. are allowed inside the examination center.
  • Candidates are not allowed to carry electronic gadgets like a digital watch, mobile phone, calculator, etc. 
  • Candidates need to carry any one of the following identity proofs (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, PAN Card, UID Card, Driving License, or College/University ID card) along with them to the exam center.

ATMA-2022 Process The ATMA

exam process includes the following four steps:

Step 1: Complete the ATMA registration form.

Candidates can register online on the official website of AIMS ATMA to fill out the ATMA 2022 application form. The application fee is Rs 1298 (no concession for reserved category students), to be paid online through debit/credit card or net banking. While filling up the ATMA application form, candidates can select up to 5 institutes/colleges for ATMA to send their score for admission.

Applications Open for 2022 Admissions

STEP 2: ATMA admit card: Three days before the exam, ATMA admit cards are distributed to registered candidates.

Candidates must download their admit cards and take a printout of the same before the exam, as it is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam hall. ATMA admit cards are available online for downloading till exam day.

STEP 3: ATMA Examination The ATMA

The test is conducted online. The test comprises 180 questions from Analytical Reasoning, Quantitative, and Verbal Skills. Candidates get 180 minutes to solve the questions.

STEP 4: ATMA outcome in 2022

ATMA result 2022 has been published on the official website. By entering their PID number and password, test takers can view the ATMA result 2022 and download the scorecard. The scorecards are not sent to any candidate by post. Based on marks scored, candidates can apply to the institute/college of their choice.

Modification of the testing mode from CBT to online home-based testing

AIMS has announced important changes in the testing mode for the ATMA May Exam. Instead of a center-based online exam, ATMA May 2021 will be conducted as an AI and live human-proctored online test which the candidates can take from the convenience of their home. This change in ATMA testing mode has been announced due to the prevailing COVID pandemic situation.

ATMA 2021: A Moderate Difficulty Exam

To appear in the ATMA 2021 May Exam, you do not require any specific prior knowledge of business or other subject areas. The test is designed to assess the aptitude of the students for higher management education and primarily consists of sections on verbal, quantitative, and analytical reasoning skills.

ATMA 2021 is an easier exam as compared to other MBA entrance exams like CAT, XAT, CMAT, and others. The May 2021 ATMA exam will be held as a proctored online exam instead of a center-based test on May 30, 2021, from 2 PM to 5 PM. The ATMA 2021 score from May’s exam will be valid for MBA admission 2021 in more than 200 MBA colleges in India. An ATMA exam application can be submitted online only.

AIMS conducts ATMA exams every year.

The ATMA exam is conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS). The test is conducted three to four times a year in the months of February, April, May, and July/August. ATMA is conducted in a computer-based format in a single sitting on a particular date of the month. Candidates have to appear in the ATMA Exam on a single day in a single session.

The ATMA 2021 question paper has a time duration of 3 hours. It has 180 objective-type questions in MCQ form, and the question difficulty level is easy to moderate. The test paper is divided into 6 sections, with 30 questions in each section. The Merit Score in ATMA is calculated based on all 6 sections.

The ATMA score will be accepted by 200 MBA colleges in India for MBA admission. Besides, all the Maharashtra MBA colleges will accept the ATMA score for all India category candidates.
