CMAT 2020 is one of the important national level MBA entrance exams for admission to more than 600 MBA colleges in India. Common Management Admission Test – CMAT 2020 exam date is January 28, 2020. The CMAT 2020 will be conducted by the newly created testing agency for higher education – The National Testing Agency (NTA) instead of AICTE. CMAT entrance exam is online computer-based test of three hours duration.
The NTA- CMAT will be held in two shifts on Friday January 28, 2020. The first shift of CMAT 2020 exam will be from 9.30 AM to 12.30 PM and the second shift of CMAT 2020 exam is scheduled from 2.30 PM to 5.30 PM. There is no change in the CMAT 2020 exam structure which will have 100 questions equally divided into 4 sections of 25 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in each section.

The Higher and Technical Education Department, Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Maharashtra has clarified while determining the entrance exam eligibility of All India category candidates for MBA/MMS admission process in Government, University affiliated, private aided and unaided Maharashtra MBA colleges, that All India Candidature Candidate, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidate will be considered for MBA/MMS admission on the basis of obtaining non zero positive score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority; CAT -conducted by Indian Institute of Management; CMAT; GMAT among others.
National Testing Agency: NTA-CMAT
NTA, a newly created test conducting body, is conducting the entire CMAT 2020 exam along with other exams which were conducted by other agencies earlier. NTA will use highly secured IT software and encryption to ensure delivery of tests just in time. This will ensure no leakages and other malpractices. National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established by Government of India as a testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for admission/fellowship in higher educational institutions. NTA has replaced AICTE as exam conducting authority. AICTE conducted CMAT exam till 2018. CMAT is now known as NTA-CMAT instead of AICTE-CMAT. From 2019 onwards, NTA has been assigned to conduct the CMAT exam and as such CMAT 2019 was the first CMAT exam conducted by NTA
The National Testing Agency is entrusted to address all the issues related to test preparation, test delivery and test marking. The National Testing Agency is to assess competence of candidates for admissions, standard of exam, efficiency, transparency and error free Test delivery of CMAT and other exams. NTA would initially conduct those entrance examinations which were being conducted by the AICTE as CMAT, GPAT; CBSE such as JEE Main for B.Tech and B.Arch courses, NEET UG for MBBS / BDS courses, National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) and others. Other examinations will be taken up gradually after NTA is fully geared up.
NTA has kept the revised CMAT exam similar to past CMAT exam pattern. Accordingly, CMAT 2020 will be a three-hour computer based online test, conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate’s ability across four sections like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.
CMAT Score Accepted by AICTE Approved MBA/PGDM Colleges
All the CMAT top colleges accepting CMAT 2020 exam score are the ones offering AICTE approved MBA/PGDM programmes. They include top MBA colleges like JBIMS, SIMSREE, K J Somaiya, GIM, Great Lakes among others. CMAT 2020: Only MBA Entrance Exam by NTA
CMAT is the only MBA/PGDM exam earlier conducted by AICTE and now by NTA WEF CMAT 2020. No other MBA/PGDM entrance in 2020 is to be conducted by NTA under aegis of AICTE. CMAT is one of the largest National Level MBA/PGDM entrance examination and is conducted once a year in the month of January, as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
Universities in 13 states including Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka among others accept CMAT exam scores along with CAT for admission to their MBA programmes. The governments have officially notified CMAT as their official test. In addition, many B-schools offering AICTE approved PGDM programs will be using the CMAT 2020 scores.
