The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the Symbiosis International (Deemed University) for admission to its MBA and PGDM programs across Symbiosis institutes, including SIMS Pune, SIBM, SIIB, and others. SNAP evaluates candidates’ aptitude for management education and is widely recognized for its rigorous assessment of analytical and managerial skills.

The exam focuses on testing candidates’ quantitative, verbal, logical, and general awareness abilities, preparing students for managerial decision-making and problem-solving in real-world business scenarios.

Examination Pattern

The SNAP Exam typically follows this structure:

  • Mode: Computer-based test (CBT)
  • Duration: 60 minutes
  • Sections:
    • General English: Vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension
    • Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency (QDIDS): Arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data analysis
    • Analytical & Logical Reasoning (ALR): Logical thinking, problem-solving, and critical reasoning
    • General Awareness (GA): Current affairs, business awareness, and general knowledge
  • Number of Questions: 60 questions (15 questions per section)
  • Marking Scheme: +1 for correct answer; -0.25 for incorrect answer

Elligibility

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree of at least three years from a recognized university
  • Final-Year Students: Eligible to apply
  • Age Limit: No age restriction

Admission Process

  • Shortlisting: Based on SNAP score and academic record
  • Selection Rounds: Group Exercise (GE), Written Ability Test (WAT), and Personal Interview (PI)
  • Final Selection: Admission offered based on SNAP score, performance in GE/WAT/PI, academic record, and work experience
  • Document Verification and Fee Payment: Admission confirmed upon verification and submission of program fees
